Buatu neemt afscheid van STVV

Jonathan Buatu kwam vorig seizoen veel aan spelen toe, Bernd Hollerbach maakte andere keuzes. Zo bleef de 24-jarige Angolese international op vijf basisplaatsen en vier invalbeurten steken. Buatu trekt naar een Turkse tweedeklasser. Daar hoort een stijlvol afscheidswoord bij.

“I would like to thanks STVV for giving me the opportunity to come back in Belgium. It was important for me to be in Belgium at a time in my life when everything was complicated in the private. I would like also to thanks all the head coaches i had during my time in the club who always understood me and made easy for me when they could to help me in my private situation.

I am proud that my name is associated with the history of this beautiful club. I have always given the maximum of myself for this club, this jersey, the supporters, and all the people linked to this club on every minute of playing time that has been granted to me and therefore that i can leave the club on loan without regret.

Sint-Truiden will forever remain an important place for me because it is where i experienced God’s goodness and faithfulness at work in all areas of my life. Only God knows what will happen in 6 months but whatever happen i had a great time at the club and i met great people so for all that i am grateful.

I wish all the best to my teammates, the staff, the board, the supporters and all the people who work for the club behind the scenes for the rest of the season and that the club’s objectives can be achieved.”
